The last four are killed by Thud and Da’Nog.
In the next room there is a narrow passage that leads to another chamber.
Da’Nog proceeds and upon exiting the passage he is attacked by four large orcs clad in platemail and bearing weapons dripping with poison.
Da’Nog is struck and then notices more orcs and a half ogre entering the room. One by one each party member fights his or her way into the room.
Ronj is struck and falls to the floor. He is then stabbed and killed by another orc.
Max tries to use his wand of polymorph but is struck by an arrow through the arm and drops his wand. The bard enters next and heads for Da’Nog.
Greenleaf enters and draws fire. Max picks up his wand and polymorphs an orc into a gerbal. The three dwarves enter and charge the orc crossbowmen. Da’Nog falls as the poison overcomes him. Zapa moves to him and begins casting. Max is struck by two more arrows and then casts slow poison on himself. One of the dwarves takes a dagger to the thigh and his buddy pulls out the dagger and dives at the orc that put it there. Max casts magic missile on the half ogre disrupting the spell he was casting. The dwarves jump on the half ogre and kill him. They begin battling over a hammer on the ogre’s body. The final orcs are killed and one is turned into a pidgeon. The group decides to try and make their way out. The three dwarves pick up Ronj’s body and carry him. Thud (the mapper) tries to backtrack. Much laughter erupts regarding Thud’s map and the accurate detail it portrays.
The party finds a pantry and camps for several days. Ronj is raised. Members heal and study. Pray and eat.
It is decided to continue on instead of retreating back to Thudheim. EFK!
Back down to the narrow passage.
The group is attacked from behind. Ronj and the three dwarves do battle with two armored orcs. Zapa begins to sing and play. The two orcs are killed and the group continus on. Don’t we always go left? Zapa asks.
The next door is locked and Zapa picks the lock successfully. A room with a desk, chairs and bed.
Thud says in his heavy voice… “Cynthia… Come here…” The group laughs.
Two black pamphlets with glowing green writing are found. They are pushed into a sac and stored for later investigation.
The group then begins to debate on what to do next. Some say return to Thudheim… Others want to go back to the entrance and destroy the dwarven encampment. Yet others want to investigate the third tower.
What shall it be.
Who’s mapping?

Down stone tunnel to the entrance of a cavern.
Many crab / ogre creatures are detected within the room. The party backs up thinking that no treasure is to be gained.
Back to the main intersection and down another large hallway.
Two crab like creatures appear at the end of the hall. Da’Nog kills one with the first blow. Brain matter spews from its head. The other creatures strikes Ronj with the same might nailing his foot to the floor.
The creature is then dispatched by Greenleaf. beyond the dead creatures to a passage that leads to a room with a brass ladder that leads up to the ceiling at the end of an auger. Thud cranks the crank of the auger and the ceiling begins to move up. As he continues a passage is cleared to the ladder. Thud ascends the ladder and discovers a room that the group has previously been in. He descends and the passage is sealed.
Back to the intersection and down the last hallway.
The hall leads to a stone tunnel. It slopes down and becomes slippery.
A black pudding is detected on the ceiling and surprises half the group. Max uses his polymorph and turns the pudding into a large catfish.
The group continues on.
Down into a cavern where water fills the passageway. Three crab creatures emerge from the water and the group is attacked. Timmy makes his debut with an arrow in one of the creatures.
The group bickers awhile as to camp and eat the catfish or move on. Zappa voices his discontent at eating something that used to be a black pudding. The group argues a bit more and then decides to move on…
Back to the winch room and up one level.
Down a tunnel to a room with another owl bear chained to the wall. Max tries to free and is surprised by a larger owl creature. The larger monster is killed by arrows from Jimmy & Timmy. Zappa frees the other owl bear.
The group moves on some feeling disgust at the lack of profit found.
A large room is discovered with a large raised platform in the center. In the center is a pit being used to hold prisoners. There are six or eight guards on the top of the platform. Max uses a chain lightning speel from a previously found scroll to fry all of the guards. The 18th level chain lighting is impressive as it jumps from figure to figure. Several dwarves are freed from the pit. Into a room that is dark. Upon investigation many orcs are discovered sleeping. Da’Nog begins to cut throats as they sleep. After 8 or 9 one of them hears the gurgling of a cut throat and awakens. When the lights come up over 30 orcs and 4 ogres are seen. Max uses the last fireball gem from the helm and uses his staff to double the effects. All but four orcs are killed. The last four charge the group. Ronj, Thud and Da’Nog kill three of the orcs and Max polymorphs one of them into a turtle with his wand.

Moving away from the winch the party comes to an opening with a set of stairs. There are smashed double doors at the top of the stairs. Two muscular orcs, an ogre and several archers appear. Thud, DaNog and Ronj charge the enemy. As they gain the upper hand another door opens and another group of orcs and ogres charge in. Max casts lightning and scorches all. Thud, Da’Nog and Ronj save for half damage. The rest are killed but one of the orcs surrenders. He is questioned and allowed to add his skills to the party.
The party camps. Sleep, study, pray, eat. Several members are turned invisible by Max.
into a room that has several lifts.
The group descends 70′ into a room that has several dead bodies.
Through a tunnel and into a room. The walls have smooth grooves carved out and there is a stone alter on the other end of the room. The alter is magical but nothing else is found. Down a stairway to a room with several more bodies and an owl bear chained to the wall. Max removes the bonds and heals the mysterious monster. The owl bear begins to follow along behind the druid.
Into another room where there are three wights. Thud charges confidently wearing his ring that protects him from level drain. He kills the three wights and Timmy and Jimmy are impressed.
The group travels into the room and through several other rooms to a steep collapsed stairway. There is a closed door at the top of the collapsed stairs. The group manages to ascend the stairs into a room that appears to be a torture chamber.
Nothing of value is found and the group backtracks to another room to rest.
Then they clear away a collapsed tunnel into a cavern with an underground pond. From above, more than 30 charging forms are seen. Max uses a gem from the helm to put up a wall of fire. He and Greenleaf cast Fire Elemental spells and send them through the wall. Shouts, combat and screams are heard.
