Dalliance

  • Race: Human
  • Gender: Female
  • Class: Magic User
  • Level: 12 (13 w/ pearl of power)
  • Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Dalliance is a happy-go-lucky free spirit, tall and slender, sporting the red hair and green eyes that often mark a witch, happy to roam the lands with little thought for the future.

Dalliance had the misfortune of being a woman in the land of Thay. Although her brothers rose to power and by joining the Red Wizards of Thay, her attempts to learn the arts were continually rebuffed. Feeling stifled by the rules and hierarchy that governs the lands of Thay, she used her family’s wealth to hire private tutors that schooled her in the mysteries of magic. When she showed her skills to her family, her family treated her like a pariah – dismayed and embarrassed by her refusal to adhere to the proper social customs. Exiled to the North, Dalliance has found that the wild and lawless nature of the lands suits her and her free spirit. Her spendthrift ways have left her with little in the way of permanent resources, but she has had a plethora of fine experiences and has seen a number of the northern lands.

Following her latest stint as an employee, she has once again decided that being a free agent might prove to be more fun and flexible. Word has filtered out of an eccentric group of individuals that operates out of a ramshackle ‘town’ in the hinterlands of the back-country. She has traveled to see the ‘town’ – if it can be called such – and has found the group depleted and in need of magical assistance. There is no chauvinism in Thudheim, and that suits her just fine.

Reza Bullar

  • Race: Half Orc
  • Gender: Male
  • Fighter – 10th level
  • Alignment: Neutral Evil

Reza Bullar, Littermate to TBA, Reza and his sibling were the best looking of the dozen or so whelps spawned by the orcess Hagzabah. Reza and his ‘brother’ (different fathers – orcs are like cats in that way) – were selected to go into the spy program that the leaders of Helllgate Keep had started as a means of keeping tabs on the rest of the North. Being fed more than the rest, and receiving better training led to Reza’s rapid advancement in skill and rank. Then came the fateful day that the Keep was breached and Reza and TBA were forced to flee for their lives.

Although loutish and ill-mannered Reza and TBA prospered, there was many a lady who liked being ‘guarded’ by two good looking lads, provided they kept their tongues busy and did not speak. One particularly wealthy lady made the mistake of letting the pair guard her empty summer home for a short time, prior to her arrival. When she arrived, the pair was gone, along with her finest carpets, silverware and furniture. The money was grand, but it did not last, especially in a land as torn by war as the North – luxuries come at a very steep price indeed. The need for more adventure led to Waterdeep, and then to Thudheim…

Barada

  • Race: Half Elf
  • Gender: Male
  • Class: Bard – 10th level
  • Thief – 8th level
  • Fighter – 7th level
  • Alignment: Neutral

Barada was well aware of his differences from the rest of the village folk rather early on. The taunts and jeers of the locals did nothing to improve his views on the value of humans and it was not long before he hired himself out to the first merchant company he could find in order to escape the wretched town. The mayhem that followed in the next few decades of his life convinced him that there were easier ways to garner riches aside from fighting, and they also taught him that not all humans are to be despised. Drawing on his contacts along the Sword Coast, Barada entered the life of a sneak thief and highwayman – plundering and burgling his way across the North. With the upheaval that followed the Demonwars and the rapid reduction in ‘thieveable’ wealth, Barada discovered a knack for telling a tale. One thing led to another, and he was back in the woods near his birth village, seeking counsel from the local Druid Council. Now he spends his time in the pursuit of knowledge, a few fine tales (maybe a fine gem or two) and adventure – but on his terms. Hearing the tales of a fellow named Thud and his band of companions led him to seek out the town known as Thudheim. As luck would have it, a new band is forming…

Lubboch

  • Race: Human
  • Gender: Male
  • Class: Fighter
  • Level: 10
  • Alignment: Lawful Neutral

Lubboch was born in Scornubel to a trading family of minor status, Lubboch was never destined to live life amongst the wheelers and dealers of the town. His strengths lay in cracking heads and snapping limbs, first for the thieves collection arm, then later for one of the merchant companies that ply their trade in the area. Although the life was well paid, the sheer and incessant boredom started to wear on Lubboch’s nerves. The last straw came one day, and Lubboch left town, looking for more adventure – and fewer accounts receivable.

His strong arm and untroubled conscience made him a valued (though not trusted) employee of many an individual. Finally, a ‘help wanted’ posting caught his eye while swilling ale in Waterdeep’s Yawning Portal and he wandered towards Thudheim…
