With Gutboy and The Justicar rounding out the roster, the party seeks for something relatively simple that will allow for some inter=party bonding to take place. Finally, Pearsay offers them a simple task. Journey to the Glacier of the White Wurm and slay dragon that has been preying on the northern supply route these past few months.
The group springs into action. spending three weeks writing scrolls to take with them, then teleporting the party to the glacier’s edge. The druid uses his commune with nature ability to locate a likely region in which to begin exploring, after about a week of trying. Next the flying eyes take to the skies and before too long a likely cave complex is identified.
Some rapid travel brings the group to within eyesight of the entrance, at which point Malchor releases the wizard eye to scout the complex. He finds a large chamber in which resides a white dragon. He makes a careful study of an adjoining area. Now plotting begins. The druid begins by protecting everyone in the party from extreme cold.
Plan in hand, the group teleports to the adjoining area studied earlier. While Gutboy, , Justicar and Thraw hang back, the mages unleash a veritable rain of fire spells on the dozing dragon. After slaying the dragon, they turn their attention to a pair of polar bears and then the pack of sinter wolves that adjoin the dragon’s cave.
Exploration, butchering and preserving is undertaken. The dragon’s hoard is discovered – uncovered from beneath the ice. The lootables are looted, including a breastplate of interesting armor. Next , they return to Pearsay to deliver the good news.Thus it is that about a month later, the group is again wondering about the next expedition…
