Traps? Magic? Check please!

Some bedrooms are investigated and a swarm of children’s toys try to kill the party members and are nearly successful. One of the bathroom tubs almost eats Elulyn. There are secret doors aplenty and traps are liberally sprinkled throughout the hidden passages. A rickety staircase leads up to the third floor of horror. There the group discovers some sort of secret lab replete with all manner of terribly deformed ‘people’. Limbs have been sawn off and replaced with tentacles and pincers, eyes have been gouged out and replaced with large insect eyes…truly this is a terrible sight. The group puts a rescue plan into motion…they will slay each victim in turn, hack off the after-market parts, then raise the victim from the dead and top it off with a heal spell to restore full function and to clear out any psychic trauma they will have suffered as a result of the strange modifications.
This will take close to a week – and during this time the group will inhabit the Malthen Manor house and seek its secrets. There is a chance the Malthens will return to their domicile if they feel the heat is off, and the cleric announces that forthwith there will be no roping but instead guards will be posted – the good old fashioned way to keep track of intruders. Intruder alert, intruder alert…
