We came, we saw, we kicked their frosty butts!

With Raylek dead and the fireball barrage only partially effective, the group’s resolve began to waver. Finally, after a short debate it was decided to press on with the attack. The group, plus two fire elementals charged towards the already burned frost giant guards. After a short and fierce battle, four frost giants lay dead on the ground. Heals are cast, after which the group hears a menacing hissing/growling farther down the passageway.

The Druids send in their fire elementals followed by the group, Thud and Ronj in the front. They discover the hissing sound is coming from a 7 headed frost hydra chained to the wall. The elementals attack while the group attacks from a distance. Ronj fires his crossbow sending a bolt into the hide of the hideous creature...

Ice Trolls & Frost Giants

The group arrives outside of the city of Silverymoon. Then moves on toward the Frosty Mountains. Several days into the journey the party spots a group of ice trolls attacking three frost giants in a cave. The giants gain the upper hand and the trolls begin to retreat. As the trolls make their retreat, Catfish John and Max cast fireball spells on the cave ice cave. Three of the frost giants are killed and two retreat from the cave. The party finds 3,000 gp worth of small statues. The group then moves on further into the frosty mountains. The next day the party encounters a giant ice worm. Half of the adventurers are surprised. Navarro attacks with magic missiles while max tries a charm monster spell. The charm spell has no effect...

Treasure Divided, New Members Added

Back in Thudheim, the group divides up the treasure taken from the tower complex. Thud provides Max with a safe room guarded by Thudheim militia for the daily process of magical identification. The first item is an emerald scroll tube containing a magic user scroll with the following spells: Charm Monster, Lemunds Secure Shelter, Hold Monster, Lemunds Lament, Guards and Wards, Ottos Irresistable Dance and Succor. The next four items are magic rings. A ring of truth, a ring of telekinesis and two rings of feather falling. Next is a suit of elven chainmail +3. The next item identified is a rug of smothering. Max is discovered by the militia struggling over and over with the rug as it kills him and his ring of regeneration brings him back to life. The next item is a +4 dagger...

The Bubbled Barbarian is Lost

Moving on the group encounters a flock of sturges and max blasts them with a fireball. Several members take damage as well. On to a room with four mummies Max, Thud and Da’Nog fail their saves and run away scared. Greenleaf summons a fire elemental to kill the mummies. A vile, a ring and a dagger on pillows illuminate magic. The items are taken.Several zombies are encountered but quickly dispatched by the group.
Continuing down a hallway to a chimney like hole in the roof. It looks too narrow for an escape. On to another hallway that ends at a locked door. Max casts knock and the door opens. A Statue with a blue robe and four tapestries with live moving eyes. The group moves on to another locked door. Another knock is used to gain entry. Nothing is found. On to another locked door...

Ruined runes… Here comes the fire!

The group appears in a circular room with one door. Through the door and down a hall brings the group to a room with a curtain across the opposite wall. A light mist fills the room. Magic is detected in the general area. Behind the curtain there is a hall that leads to a room with an alter. On the other side of the room is a black marble door woven with strands of gold. Da’Nog enters and disappears. Then Zapa enters and disappears. Max uses the crystal ball and discovers that they are not in the same place. After several hours Da’Nog reappears drained and weak. In his hand is a strand of gold. Several minutes later a spindle of gold appears and falls to the floor. Part of it is the face of Zapa. He is wiped from existence. It is as if he had not been with the group for a long time...
