Back at the end of the hallway an old dwarf appears. He has been in battle and clams that wizard is hunting him. He says that his party was dissintegrated, He has a magical girdle, and axe and necklace. Thud and Da’Nog take advantage and attack him. The druids choose not to partake in the outwardly evil act. He strikes thud with a great blow. Da’Nog drinks a potion of storm giant strength a puts down the blows. The dwarf cries that this is a betraying cowardly act, grabs his necklace and it begins to glow. He speaks a magic word and the dwarf disappears in a golden flame. During the fighting a female elf is seen walking through the hallway and into a room. After the dwarf dissapears Greenleaf enters the room and speaks with the elven female.

The party approaches hoping that the helm of brilliance will protect them. The helm doesn’t seem to affect the skeleton. Greenleaf casts rock to mud under skeleton.
The skeleton sinks down into the mud but then rises up and attacks the group. Battle ensues. Thud takes damage but the skeleton falls.
Ronj is sent to explore the room beyond. Ronj finds a bedroom. A bed is turned down and there is a small golden apple with an emerald chip on the pillow. greenleaf enters the room and casts detect magic. nothing is magical. He try’s to pick up the golden apple but it sprouts spikes and poisons him. He makes his saving throw and then exits the room.

The group comes to a locked door. The door is forced open by Thud and inside there is a bedroll and some warm stones...

Greenleaf returns with remove curse and takes care of Ronj.

Group travels on into room where there is a body freshly killed. Blood splattered across tapestries. Arm on the floor. DaNog enters hallway and four 4′ black hounds bound through the door. One of the hell hounds bites DaNog in the shoulder. The hounds breath fire on DaNog and Zapa. Two are killed but then another bites DaNog in the head and chews off his ear. Then breathes fire on him. Magic missiles and swords bring the final two down.
Back into the hallway. Down to Ogre smelling passageway. Another fountain is found but this one doesn’t make noise. Thud looks in the fountain and sees scene after scene going by. He throws a rock into the fountain and the water disappears and reveals an old dusty cracked water fountain...

Druids from across the lands gather for the combat ritual. The rules are set. No possessions other than mistletoe and holly. Each druid may take their mammal form as well as use any spell they can cast. Greenleaf squares off with a burly looking outdoorsman. Several rounds later Greenleaf is knocked unconscious. He awakens to congratulations from his opponent and a loss of approximately 100,000 experience. After the celebrations Greeleaf travels to Silverymoon trying to find a wish to restore his experience. With no luck he returns to Thudheim.
Back in Thudheim Thud expands his small empire by starting a liquor trade. He then uses the river to deliver his product to neighboring towns.
Max travels to the wizard’s college in Waterdeep to buy potions for the group...

After resting the party presses on. Shortly thereafter they find a stone door with the symbols of Comedy and Tragedy impressed unto the surface. They proceed past the unlocked door into a large auditorium. The intrepid explores decide to head for the stage area. After traveling about half the distance to the front of the amphitheatre the group is attacked by a swarm of 50+ Sturges. The creatures’ attack in mass and much blood is sucked. The party retreats back into the hallway trying to escape the main body of the swarm so they can put the beat down on the ones attached to their bodies. The fighters switch to using their hands rather than their weapons so that they can swat at the giant bugs quicker. The creatures bring down the Bard Zappa and his unconscious body is carried away.
