The EFK teleports accross the desert

The following day the group decides to travel to the other end of the city. Perhaps some adventure leads may be found in a more wealthy part of town. Traveling down Bywater road the group enters the Pirates Cove Inn. After a drink from the bar they meet the owner of the Inn, Crusty. He is aware of the relocation of the entire city. He explains that the city was teleported from a mountainous region. He also claims that the city was in another location before the mountains but that was before he was born.

The owner of the establishment also claims to have a job that may suit efk talents. He has a map of an ancient temple. The group contracts to raid the ruins. That evening in the bar the group drinks ale as magicians chant and draw a large circle around them on the floor...

The City of the Invincible Overlord, Why’d we come here?

Traveling across the desert, the group makes their way to the mysterious city. When within site of the city walls it becomes evident that the entire area used to be somewhere else. It looks as though the entire city was plucked from a mountain region and dropped here in the middle of the desert. There are trees and other vegetation surrounding the city as well as a waterfront and docks that also seems to have been transplanted to this location.

Upon arrival at the gates the elves in the group (Orthan, Greenleaf & Skilver) are looked over very closely. Greenleaf must pay a toll of 100gp presumably because of his race and alignment. It seems as though the city is slanted toward the evil side of things. The gate clerk (Armigan) asks each of the group their name and occupation...

Camping in the Foothills, Desert City on the Horizon…

Upon leaving Orlbar, the group travels towards the desert lands. The road is uneventful for many days. The party makes their way into the eastern mountains and arrives at the Dawn Pass. Controlled by a mighty beholder, each party member must pay a toll of 10 gold pieces to be granted safe passage. After traveling for several more days the group makes camp in the final foothills just above the vast desert floor. The shinning city can be seen as just a glimmer on the horizon. Greenleaf and Max begin making daily flights to scout the best rout to the city.

One afternoon the party encounters a group of soldiers traveling away from the city. The druids help them with some quick water to wine as a gesture of good will...

Green dragon on the road, Orlbar for the winter…

Traveling south from Waterdeep the efk randomly encounters a green dragon. Presumably preying on the roadway the worm makes it’s first flyby. Raineer releases a spell of electricity upon the flying menace. As the creature passes it unleashes its gaseous breath upon the road. Then orthan and his horse are lifted from the road and thrown across the plain. In his flight, orthan is able to drink a potion of gaseous form and save him-self from certain death. His horse, upon smashing accross the land, is returned to its previous owner. (The mount spell is truly demented)
On the second pass the dragon is struck again with electrical magic and finally brought down by a precisely slung20! thudmeister bullet. Orthan rushes to pronounce victory!

The group travels south to Orlbar to seek magical train...
