Everybody polka!

The party ventures out of the courtyard and under the sprawling roof. There they cast a trap detection spell and go on a whirlwind tour of the hallways, trying to identify if any doors are trapped. They are surprised to find that they are being trailed by a band of bugbears, but once contact is made, the fight is over within seconds. A secret door is investigated and then abandoned by virtue of no one being able to figure out how to open it.
The next door investigated starts a pulsing beat to echo through the halls. Sounds like a rave is taking place as soon as the floor is stepped upon. Well – everyone knows that there are visitors now, if the destruction of the titan statue didn’t already alarm everyone.
A few more doors and a few more rooms. One is filled with a circular conga line of dancing skeletons and the next is filled with zombies trying to claw down a stone wall opposite the door. There are some orc chieftains and their warriors and in another room the group encounters and slays a four foot tall cyclops guarding a large sack of shrunken elf heads. The day’s adventures culminate in a pitched battle with an eight foot purple burbling lobster man who deals serious damage to the group before being laid low. As if it hadn’t been said before, the elf opines that the place is quite bizarre.
With that, ascend into the rope and spend a day or two revitalizing spells and identifying items found and/or looted along the way. At least they are in a well-hidden location. Tomorrow is a new day and will undoubtedly yield even stranger events and encounters.
