Building a keep, finding a familiar…

The group travels back to Orlbar to divide up the take. Raineer decides to stay and study under the Black Mage. Thud and Skilver travel to what used to be the town of Loudwater. They purchase a large piece of land and begin to establish a small keep and temple of Belial.
Orthan and Max travel to the Wizards College in Waterdeep. On the way they see groups of farmers headed toward the new lands being established by Thud and Skilver. Upon arrival at the college Orthan checks on the artifact that the efk found years ago. The object is a small rod with 16 separate dials. It has been discovered that the device is used to travel between planes and through time. Unfortunately the device needs more research and is not currently powered. Orthan pays another 10,000 gp toward research and informs Max that he thinks he knows where the device can be charged.
While in Waterdeep, Max purchases 6 longevity potions and spends 25,000 gp on the finest components for the find familiar spell. Then Orthan guides Max to the Shinning Falls in the sacred High Forest. Burning gem-encrusted charcoal in the finest brazier, Max chants his incantation for close to 20 hours. An unbelievable familiar answers the magician’s call. Appearing as an 18 inch miniature red dragon, a pseudo dragon swoops down from above the Shinning Falls and begins to commune with Max. The beautiful creature has a chameleon-like power allowing it to blend in to surrounding background and be 80% undetectable. Communicating telepathically with the new familiar, Max seems quite happy with his new life companion.
Orthan, Max and his new companion travel back to check the progress of Thud and Skilver. The keep and the temple of Belial that it surrounds are almost finished. The original architects have already been dispatched to keep all secrets safe. Over the next year a tavern, brewery and inn are established on the river shores.
See the new town of Iefkay!

    *sniff*

the lil adventurers are all grown up, with castles and temples of their won to maintain..until some band of self-righteous do-gooders comes along and destroys it all for some experience!
    I hate people like that!

  • Skilver  says:

My Temple is complete. May Belial bless my followers. At last a haven for worshipers where no other churches will harass them for their beliefs.

Now if only Thud and I can keep the town of Loudthud up and running until it becomes self supporting.

Man this crystal ball is intermittent.
I keep looking at it but I can’t see anything.
I hear from my sources that my old party has been
making raids on cloud giants and still this crystal
ball is occluded. I’m going to have to have a talk with the webmaster,I mean, the wizard who’s running this show.
” Hey, serving bitch, this mage could use a refill”

    lol!

It’d be best not to anger the mage with the crystal ball. Between that and the help of teleportation, you’ll never sleep soundly again!

    Apologies,
In the attempt of establishing my own keep I have neglected my scribing duties.
    Update coming soon!

(Hey toots, get the mage another ale!)

I think my crystal ball is broken too…it keeps replaying the same old scenes.
