Teabagging the Bear

A contingent of dwarves guides the group up into the foothills near the mining site. They offer to stand guard, but Dalliance politely opines that if the group should need to flee, the dwarves will likely be dead meat anyway. The dwarves depart, somewhat shaken at this level of frank discourse.

Onward and into the old mines – old to begin with and deprived of any preventative maintenance – the tunnels are in sad shape and the group narrowly avoids several collapses…until they don’t. DIgging themselves out is fortunately an easy task, given the bard’s immense strength and the presence of two stoneshapers in the group.

Hither and yon, and to and fro. A shaft or two is found and investigated – the remnants of old bloodstone veins – but everything is dusty up here – not much traffic on this level it would seem. A secret door is found and explored. It leads to a long hallway and a chamber at the far end is occupied by stone giants – with an ample supply of boulders. Out comes the Cube of Force and party advances down the hallway behind their impenetrable shield. When the time is right, the shield is lowered and the group blasts away until a dozen giants are slain.

A large stone chest takes some time to open and the contents include two large potion ‘kegs’. Demming decides to sample one – and falls deeply and passionately in love with Ron’j!. The rush of emotions confuses Demming so he shifts into bear form and tries to sniff Ron’j!’s nether regions in a friendly manner. When the rest of the party can once again stand upright and the tears of laughter are dried up – they speculate on the nature of the other potion keg. No matter – Dalliance teleports the lot back to her residence and the group prepares for a second round of investigation.

  • Dalliance  says:

That jug of juice may be the greatest nation building magic item we have ever found.Really makes me wonder what is in the other cask.

  • Demming  says:

Hmmm, that might be an overstatement of the substance’s merits.
Don’t you have spells which can duplicate these effects?
