The room of willy slick fingers

The party approaches hoping that the helm of brilliance will protect them. The helm doesn’t seem to affect the skeleton. Greenleaf casts rock to mud under skeleton.
The skeleton sinks down into the mud but then rises up and attacks the group. Battle ensues. Thud takes damage but the skeleton falls.
Ronj is sent to explore the room beyond. Ronj finds a bedroom. A bed is turned down and there is a small golden apple with an emerald chip on the pillow. greenleaf enters the room and casts detect magic. nothing is magical. He try’s to pick up the golden apple but it sprouts spikes and poisons him. He makes his saving throw and then exits the room.

The group comes to a locked door. The door is forced open by Thud and inside there is a bedroll and some warm stones. Max says he is going to cast detect magic and suddenly a man speaks. He is wedged in the corner of the ceiling. He comes down and sys his adventuring party was killed. He is willy slick fingers. The party decides to let him live but drives him off. He thanks the druids for some food and water and claims that he can be found in waterdeep.

Moving on…
Group finds a door that is wedged open by a dagger. Inside is a sundry of ruined and cast off items. Nothing is found.
The group camps and sleeps in the room where the Willy Slick Fingers was.
The next day three 3 legged giants deformed with multiple heads try to attack the party. Greenleaf is still praying for spells when the giants attack. Max throws one of the last three opals to ignite a fireball. Major battle begins in the hallway.
Thud is killed in the first two blows.
Da”Nog fights with great might while Zapa plays his mandolin. The monsters are killed and Thud is raised by greenleaf who finishes studying. Ronj is sent down hallway to explore. He is cast invisible by max and given the gauntlets of infravision. He travels down a long sloped tunnel for over 30 minutes. He discovers an underground mine with dwarves working. He returns and reports to the group. After much debate it is decided to return to the bath room for Thud to heal.
Sleep / Pray / Study / Eat
The group returns to the fountain and teleports up to the top level then down one level. On to more exploration.
The party of adventurers appear in the familiar four way intersection. proceeding down a passaway the party enters a gallery of alcoves. In each alcove is a three dimensional animated scene. The bard uses his mandolin to summon a spider. The spider is commanded to tear down each of the items. The group becomes sick and the items are returned.
A secret door is found by Greenleaf. A steep stairway down leads to a moldy room that has not been touched for many years. It looks like a hotel registry. There is a hallway that leads to a door…

Shouda killed da Willy Fingers. Him no good to us. Why he different than three headed monster? Cause he got magic sword? All da more reason to kill him. He must be part mage and muddled with my mind. Oh well gone now and me not going to waterdeep to see him dat be fo sho. No like big cities.

Perhaps letting Willy live was a mistake…
But then again we druids don’t have to kill everything in sight…
Something to be said for our alignment and a borderline good deed.
Maybe it will come back to curse us…
On the other hand perhaps it will payoff for those of us brave enough to venture into the city of Waterdeep. Noticing the barbarian doesn’t like the city but seems to appreciate the potions that come from that city…
I think we should continue on and find out what is in this supposedly abandoned hotel registry. I smell undead… and we are more prepared for undead then ever before.
